RHYTHM SHAKERS ANNOUNCE SYDNEY SHOW

14 June 2016

The Rhythm Shakers from Los Angeles, California have all the viciousness and savagery of a hardnosed 1950s rock’n’roll band fronted by a charismatic lead singer. Except something was different this time; the lead singer is female, but Marlene Perez is not the typical female lead singer, she trades sweet for savage and kind for killer.

The band’s debut album ‘Flipsville’ was released on Wild Records in 2008, followed by two vinyl 45s and now a sensational new vinyl album ‘Voodoo’.

All of these releases have projected their power onto many rock’n’roll dance floors, festivals and seedy late night bars. The Rhythm Shakers have toured all through Europe with memorable appearances at High Rockabilly, Viva Las Vegas, the Screamin’ Festival and The Rockabilly Rave.

As part of their worldwide rock’n’roll expedition, they are heading to Australia to headline the GreazeFest in Brisbane and Melbourne, plus an exclusive side show at The Factory in Sydney.

The charismatic Pat Capocci, who is known as Australia’s most energetic and passionate rockabilly and roots guitarist, will join these wild cats at The Factory show. With six albums recorded to date, Pat Capocci and his band have just released ‘More Thrills Than Ever’ and they continue to lead the way as one of Australia’s hardest working and most exciting bands.
