Accessibility Information

GreazeFest aims to provide an inclusive and accessible experience for all our attendees, to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festival in a comfortable and safe environment.

Wheelchair Access and Parking

  • Wheelchair access and disability parking is located along Long Street near the entry to Gate 2 and just inside Gate 3. Please look for our signage.
  • Wheelchair users can access the event via Gate 2 after parking. Once they receive their entry wristband, they can wheel through to the Concert Space along concreted ground.
  • The concert space and bar area feature concreted ground surfaces for easy accessibility. The food zone is situated on a sloping grassed field overlooking the concert space. The hot rod show and markets take place on a grassed oval, which is mainly flat, although has a slight slope between the concert area and the hot rod oval.
  • Restrooms: Wheelchair access restrooms are located to the west side of the concert stage.

Access for Companion Card Holders

  • People who hold a government-issued Companion Card may bring a companion to the event, and the companion will be admitted at no charge. The person holding the Companion Card will pay the usual admission and the companion enters for free. The companion card is required to be displayed as you enter the event.

Parking

  • Public Car Park: Car park is in Redland Showgrounds, off Long Street, via Gate 3. Please note parking is limited and will fill early. Please plan your trip.
  • Street Parking: There is plenty of 'on street' parking along Long Street, Smith Street and surrounding streets. Please follow the instructions of street signage and don't park in any 'no parking' zones. Please don't park across anyone's driveway.
  • Disability Parking: Disability parking is along Long Street, near the entry of Gate 2.  Internal disability parking is available just inside Gate 3.

Public Transport

  • Train - Take the Shorncliffe Line to the Cleveland Train Station. Visit Translink to find out more info, timetables and train options, here: http://jp.translink.com.au

Drop-off and Taxi Zone

  • The drop-off zone is located close to the entrance of Gate 2.

Seating

  • Tables and chairs and theatre style seating are available in the concert area.
  • Picnic tables, chairs and shade are available in the food truck area on the village green.
  • Additional seating and shade are provided in the Hot Rod Hangout within the car display and the Little Greazers kids area.
  • Seating can become limited during peak times. You are welcome to bring a folding chair for  your comfort. Please don’t block any access paths and follow the direction of our staff members.

Animals

  • Please note that dogs and pets are not permitted at the event, except for registered service animals.

Children / Prams

  • Children and prams are welcome at the event and all areas of the festival are accessible with a pram.
  • Children 12 and under enter the event for free.

Sensory Accommodations

  • The event does not feature any severe lighting such as strobe lighting which may affect people who are neuro-diverse.
  • The event has a village green food area away from the performance stage, which has a view of the stage and dancing, where you can relax.
  • Complimentary earplugs are available at the licensed bar in the concert area. The sound level is monitored and kept to a restricted level to ensure a comfortable experience for attendees.

First Aid

  • Night Events – a first aid station is equipped at the main bar in the concert area for both day and night events. Please speak to any staff member or security guard if you require first aid.
  • Day Events – the main first aid station and medics are situated in the first row of the Hot Rod display, just along from the tiki carving display, or ask any staff member or security guard for assistance.

Baby Care Space

  • The female toilets on the Main Oval have dedicated space for those who require extra space for breastfeeding, baby changing, or taking care of young or elderly people.

Water

  • The licensed bar has water stations where you can access free, fresh water. Plastic and metal water bottles are permitted. Please don't bring glass.
  • BYO alcohol is prohibited at the event.

Food Choices

  • The event features a variety of hot food and drink choices including hamburgers, Mexican, Indonesian, German Sausages, hot dogs, coffee, iced tea and ice cream.

  • If you need assistance or have any questions during the festival, please contact our staff at the Merchandise marquee or speak to any of our security crew.
