JOHN LEWIS (UK) SET TO DAZZLE DOWNUNDER

22 April 2016

Welsh rockabilly hero John Lewis is heading to Australia for his first ever appearance at GreazeFest!

John Lewis champions rockabilly and roots music and is an electrifying performer who combines dazzling guitar with dramatic vocals and an on-stage intensity that is rarely seen today.

John's first band, The Rimshots gained universal respect by playing their own style of rockabilly and touring the world for 19 years. Of their five album releases, their Tribute to Hank Williams was awarded the Best British Country Album of the year at the CMA Awards 1999. The Rimshots parted ways some time back and play the occasional reunion.

Lewis has also toured and recorded under his alter ego name of Johnny Bach and The Moonshine Boozers, along with fellow guitarist Darrel Higham, who also backs the wonderful Imelda May.
Now in his 30th year of touring and recording, John Lewis is heading to Australia to perform at GreazeFest Brisbane and GreazeFest Melbourne, where he’ll be presenting his 16th album “His Other Side” just released in 2015.
