Paul Hughes

Paul Hughes is a Melbourne based Australian artist, whose work is heavily influenced by 50s, 60s and 70s pop culture. From television to comics, to movies, music and many of the fads and fashions from the bygone decades, Hughes has created his own style of low brow, cartoony art.

Paul Hughes has been involved in countless art shows, including a couple of solo art shows, both at home and overseas including the U.S and Japan. In addition, Hughes has been featured in several local and international publications and has made the odd television appearance.

His illustration style in acrylic paint has seen him invited to contribute to the Barris Car Show, as well as art shows in California and has secured him many design jobs over the years.

Many people will know Hughes for his work with One Shot enamel paints, he can usually be found travelling the country, sharing his talents at festivals and events and sometimes painting live.
