Souths Leagues Club

Location:
Souths Leagues Club is situated at Davies
Park, on the corner of Jane Street and Montague Road, West End.
The Sinners' Ball and the Greazers' Ball are both held
in the upstairs function room at Souths Leagues Club. The room features
unreserved seating and tables, a large timber dance floor and a sprawling
outdoor deck. Bring your jacket, it can get cold on the deck.
The Balls are mainly for over 18s only, but teenage rockers are welcome if
they are accompanied with a parent or guardian.
The Hot Rod Show is held on the grounds at Davies Park, on the football
oval behind Souths Leagues Club.
On the road:
From the southside, take the Vulture Street
Exit off the South East Freeway and head towards West End. From the
northside, take the Grey Street Bridge and head towards West End. From the
heart of West End, drive north along Vulture Street, pass the West End
Primary School, travel for one more block, until you reach a t-junction -
this is Montague Road. Turn right. You’ll see Davies Park on your left and
a large ‘Bill Tyquin Oval’ sign. Take your first left into Jane Street.
Turn left again into the Souths’ driveway at the end of Jane Street. Park
in any of the spaces all along the driveway, or in any of the streets
around Davies Park.
Public transport:
Catch bus ‘199 - West End’ to the corner of Vulture Street and
Hardgrave Road. Cross the road and walk down Hardgrave Road to Davies
Park.
On the Brisbane River, the CityCat
stops at ‘West End Ferry’ in Orleigh Street, walk about 1km or take the
199 BUZ bus to Davies Park.

Pre-Party Venue - The Troubadour

322 Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley (in Valley Mall, doorway next to Cosmo
Cafe at top end of mall)
As the venue for the regular series of Custom Rockabilly shows, The
Troubadour has become a second home to many rockabilly fans in Brisbane.
The venue is situated in the heart of Fortitude Valley and offers a
comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
The GreazeFest Pre-Party will be held at the Troubadour on Thursday July
31, 2008 from 8pm.
